ISLAMABAD - British High Commissioner in Pakistan, Adam Thomson, on Tuesday clarified that the Britsih government has nothing to do with the investigation of Dr Imran Farooq’s murder case.

“Imran Farooq’s murder is a matter of police not government,” Thomsan said in response to a query during an informal talk with media here.

He said that Imran was a British national and the London police was investigating the murder of its citizen, adding that UK the police is independent and unbiased institution and it should be allowed to do its job.

The High Commissioner expressed his unawareness when his attention was drawn towards police recently raided business address of the victim in Edgware area. “We are investigating the murder of our own citizen. Everyone should believe on a statement of the police,” he added.
