KHYBER AGENCY - Corps Commander Peshawar, Lt Gen Khalid Rabbani and Inspector General Frontier Corps, Gayyur Mehmood, paid a brief visit to Landi Kotal on Tuesday, forces source informed.

Both the officials were received by the Commandant FC Col Fayyaz and briefed them of security and overall situation of the area. They laid floral wrath on the memorial of the martyred in the cantonment, and met the troops there, sources said.

Prior to it high security measures had been taken in Landi kotal and all vehicles movements on Pak-Afghan highway and link roads had been restricted. Heavy contingents of FC and Khasadar had been deployed around the cantonment area and in Landi kotal bazaar and all kind of supply to Torkham and Afghanistan had been suspended for more than four hours.

The high-tension security had multiplied miseries of the local tribesmen and students, traders and patients had faced trouble while reaching their destinations, locals regretted.
