LAHORE – The Defence of Pakistan Council has finlaised arrangements for holding a march from Masjid-e-Shuhada to Wahga on December 16 (Sunday) against Indian atrocities in Kashmir and the government decision of giving MFN status to the arch rival.

The DPC steering committee met at Jamia Masjid Al-Qadsia on Tuesday to finalise the caravan arrangement. DPC leaders including Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, Liaqat Baloch, Hafiz Abdul Rehman Makki, Maulana Abdul Rauf, Qari Yaqoob Sheikh, Farid Ahmed Piracha and Saifullah Khalid attended the meeting.

They vowed to launch a countrywide movement against the government for giving MFN status to India, saying that the enemy was hatching conspiracies against Pakistan but the rulers were compromising national interests.

They believed that relaxation in visa policy and bilateral trade would ruin local industry and give a decisive blow to national economy. They said that the US attempts of imposing India on Pakistan would not succeed as the DPC and the nation was well aware about conspiracies.
