Lincoln corner at GCUF on the cards

FAISALABAD - A three-member team from the US Embassy Islamabad and the Government College University Faisalabad vice chancellor on Tuesday discussed the feasibility to set up a Lincoln coroner at the university’s library.
Led by Information Resource Officer Caryn Anderson, the delegates met with GCUF Vice Chancellor Dr Zakir Hussain. The corner will consist of books of arts and culture, agriculture, science and technology, literature, biographies and other valuable reading material besides electronic library and video conference.
Caryn Anderson said that the establishment of Lincoln corner would pave the way for sharing modern knowledge with the students. Dr Tahir briefed Caryn Anderson about the curriculum activities of the varsities. The delegation also visited the main library and the under-construction library being set up at the Emerging Science Block.
Dr Zakir said that the university was committed to promoting the culture of book reading. Keeping in view, the university has set up Allama Iqbal, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Sultan Bahu and Ghalib’s corners at its main library. He said that the university had emerged sixth best university of the country in the ranking of Higher Education Commission.
Results:  The GCUF declared part-1 results of MA/MSc exams. The GCUF announced results of MA (Arabic 1), MA Urdu 1, MA political sciences 1, MA Islamiat-1, MA Economics-1, MA Punjabi -1, MA International Relations 1, MA Mass Comm-1, MA History-1.
