LAHORE – Minhajul Quran Women League Lahore President Irshad Iqbal led a rally on Tuesday for bringing about a change. The marchers rallied from Aiwan-e-Iqbal to the Lahore Press Club.

Addressing the women participants, she said: “The sun of December 23 (the day when Minhajul Quran chief Maulana Tahirul Qadri scheduled to arrive in) will rise with hope and optimism.”  She said the arrival of Dr Qadri would lay the basis of a sustained struggle for restoration of people’s rights.

She said due to current electoral system, the masses were deprived of their due rights under the law and constitution so much so that they did not have access to basic necessities of life. She said that Dr Qadri would announce a national agenda which would be acceptable to all segments of national opinion. She said that the plan would address the raging challenges such as energy crisis, and terrorism and extremism. She said that the women would extend historic welcome to Dr Qadri on his arrival.
