At least two policemen have been killed and four others including a woman injured in a blast in Landhi area of the metropolis.

Police said the blast took place outside a tea shop in New Muzaffarabad Colony area of Landhi Town. However, nature of the blast was yet to be ascertained.

Police cordoned off the area to collect evidences while the injured were taken to a nearby hospital.

According to preliminary reports, armed riders threw explosive material at a roadside teashop and managed to flee, leaving six people injured. The injured were taken to the JPMC where two of them were pronounced dead.

Dr Seemi Jamli at Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Complex (JPMC) confirmed that two people were killed while four others were wounded in the blast.
