PESHAWAR - The Young Doctors Association, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter, Tuesday staged a protest demonstration against the provincial government for not implementing their proposed service structure.

The protesting doctors led by Young Doctors’ Association (YDA) provincial president Faisal Iftikhar were holding placards inscribed with slogans in favor of their demands. Dozens of YDA member doctors gathered here outside Peshawar press club and chanted full-throated slogans against the provincial health department for following delaying tactics in fulfillment of their demand.

Addressing the protesting community, YDA president Dr Failsal said that government was not serious in implementation of a proposed service structure for doctors community and deliberately ignore their demands. He asked the government to ensure implementation of a service structure on the patron of Punjab government, for the young doctors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.  

The leaders of the protesting community also warned of expanding their agitation other parts of the province if the provincial health department failed to approve the proposed service structure at the earliest.
