Glad Gomal Medical College docs

PESHAWAR - Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Engineer Shaukatullah, has said that medical education being directly related to ailing humanity bears great importance and "with the grace of Almighty Allah we have achieved remarkable progress in various disciplines of medical science and our doctors and surgeons are renowned internationally and are second to none."
Addressing the 3rd convocation of Gomal Medical College at its premises on Wednesday, the Governor, however, reminded the medical practitioners, "Still we have to go a long way to ensure provision of healthcare services in line with internationally recognised standards in remote and far-flung areas of the province as well as FATA. Polio eradication, dengue and Congo virus have emerged as new challenges, apart from the requirements of the routine healthcare facilities."
Saba Khan and Farhatullah were honoured with awards for being best graduates of the sessions 2012 and 2011 respectfully while Memoona Azam achieved the gold medal for being best student of the year 2010.
The Governor while appreciating the working of management of the college also pointed out that their responsibilities carry enormous importance and demand extra efforts for coming up to the expectations of the people. He wished the Gomal Medical College a shining status amongst its sister institutions at the national level and to become a worthwhile partner in the struggle for ensuring better health care to the people.
