ISLAMABAD - The final between Karachi and Lahore was evenly poised as Karachi closed the second day at 104-2 in 23 overs in their second innings in the Region's/Departments U-19 Three-Day Tournament 2013-12 at Mirpur Cricket Stadium, AJK on Wednesday. Karachi had 30-run lead with eight wickets still intact. M Waqas remained unbeaten for 53 runs hitting 10 boundaries. Earlier, Lahore resumed their first innings at the overnight score of 120 for the loss of four wickets in 40 overs and were all out for 247 runs in 81.2 overs, thus took a healthy 74-run first innings lead. Fahad Usman was top scorer as he scored 83 runs studied with 12 fours while Fahad Farooq contributed 42 runs and Ali Mustafa 35. Adeel and Ghulam Hussain bowled well and claimed four wickets each.–Staff Reporter
