ISLAMABAD – The National Press Club (NPC) held the NPC Media Snooker Tournament in cooperation with Dolphin Snooker Club on late Tuesday night. Islamabad Billiards and Snooker Association (IBSA) president Dr Shahzad Waseem was the chief guest and said snooker had been making Pakistan proud so the government and other departments should provide permanent jobs to the national cueists to promote the game across the country. NPC president Farooq Faisal Khan, secretary Shahryar Khan, finance secretary Afzal Javed, PFUJ president Afzal Butt, secretary Khurshid Abbasi, IBSA svp Rana Saleem Akhtar, secretary Faheem Anwar Khan, event chief organiser Mohsin Ali and others were also present there. Ex-national champion Shahram Changezi beat Wajhi Akhtar to win the exhibition match.–Staff Reporter
