DCO Mansoor Qadir and DPO Muhammad Zubair Dareshak have called upon the Ulema to play their pivotal role to foil the evil designs of the disruptive elements to create wedge among different sects of Muslims to achieve their selfish motives.
Addressing meeting of the District Peace Committee which was attended, among others by Syed Wasimul Hassan Naqvi, Haji Liaqat Zawar Khanoo, Maulana Nasrullah Khan Bhatti, Maulana Haji Abdul Hameed Rehmani, Qari Faisal Nadeem Kailani, Rana Muhammad Asghar Chishti, Joseph Nayyar, Hafizabad AC Umar Farooq Warraich, Pindi Bhattian AC Rai Yasir and DO (Coordination) Noman Hafeez, they said that Islam teaches us lesson of love, affection, tolerance and forbearance and it was, therefore, imperative for all of us to shun petty differences to contain the selfish motives of those who are out to create hatred between the patriotic Muslims to destabilise the country.
They appreciated the Ulema of all sects and Christian leaders for their role in maintaining peace and tranquillity during the last Christmas and Ashura-e-Muharram. They assured the participants that foolproof security arrangements are being made around all the Imambargahs, Churches and mosques.
The meeting strongly condemned the recent incidents of terrorism in the country.
Meanwhile, the DPO has put the policemen on red-alert for maintaining law and order situation under control.
