ISLAMABAD - Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) on Thursday suggested Imran Khan to call off his shutdown plan for Karachi, as this would also be helpful for PTI to hold negotiations with the government in a conducive environment.

“Both PTI and PML-N will be in a good position to hold negotiations if they show seriousness to resolve the stalemate,” said leader of opposition in the national assembly Syed Khursheed Shah while talking to the newsmen here.

He termed this juncture important for PTI & PML-N to hold serious dialogue as otherwise targets would not be achieved properly.

About MQM, he asked Altaf Hussain to advise his workers to avoid any confrontation in PTI’s shutdown plan in Karachi. “We are currently with the government to save system and continuation of democracy...This tilt is only to save democracy,” he added.

“Imran Khan is allowed to hold public gathering at any place of Karachi, we will not create any hurdle,” he remarked.
