Rawalpindi - Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Shoaib Khurram Janbaz demanded the SSP Tele Communication Punjab, Lahore to install decoders in the base and hand sets being used by the traffic wardens in order to improve security arrangements on VVIP routes.

“The CTO wrote a letter to SSP Tele Communication Punjab, Lahore to issue orders for fixing decoders in the base and hand sets being held by traffic wardens deputed on VVIP routes for commute among each others to make security more strict,” sources told The Nation here on Thursday.

Sources said that the purpose of installing decoders in the base and hand sets was to secure the communication between the wardens who performed duty on VVIP routes.

After instalment of decoders in the wirelesses, sources said, all the data and number of base and hand sets being used by wardens to communicate would be appeared on the screen in the control room with a specific number.

“This step will also make the security more foolproof on the VVIP routes as the control room can easily monitor the communication between the wardens,” sources said.
