LAHORE - Aalmi Chadar Orh Tehrik cut a 1,163 pound cake yesterday on the eve of Eid Miladun Nabi (PBUH).

About 10,000 people, many of them from foreign countries, participated in the ceremony, presided over by Pir Kabir Ali Shah.

In his address, Pir Kabir said he would launch a special campaign in collaboration with spiritual leaders for the enforcement of the Islamic system. Also, he warned the western countries against banning hijab. In case they went ahead, he said, all products of non-Muslim multinationals would be boycotted.

He called upon the Sindh government to withdraw the recently-passed law against forced conversions or the ACOT followers would stage a sit-in outside the Sindh Assembly.

Pir Kabir also warned the government against any move to amend the blasphemy laws.
