Islamabad-Quaid-i-Azam University(QAU) hasannounced MA/MSc/MCom/BS Computer Science annual results 2016 on Sunday.

According to the gazette notification, in all MA/MSc/MCom/BS Part-I, total 346 students appeared, 193 were declared pass and 153 failed.

The pass percentage was 55.7 per cent. Whereas in MA/MSc/MCom/BS Part-II, 637 candidates appeared out of which 396 were declared pass and 238 fail. The pass percentage was 62.1 per cent. According to details, in master of commerce, all the three positions went to Islamabad Model Postgraduate college of Commerce H-8/4, Tehreem Fatima grabbed 1st position by securing 1141/1600 marks, Sahar Saeed Bhatti stood 2nd by securing 1113/1600 marks whereas Muhammad Hussain Awan got 3rd position in MCom Part-II.

In MA English, Maria Mansoor of Islamabad College of Girls F-6/2 got the 1st position. No other candidates secured 60 per cent marks (which is a prerequisite for position holder) so 2nd and 3rd positions remained unoccupied. 

In Applied Psychology all the three positions went to Islamabad Model Postgraduate College of Girls F-7/2. Hanood Shah got 1st position. Syeda Iram Zahra stood 2nd and Yasra Sarwat stood 3rd. In MA Islamiayat Fehmida Bibi 787/100, Munaza Shafi and Bushra Qasim got the 1st, 2nd and 3rd positions. They all belong to Islamabad Model Postgraduate College of Girls F-7/2. Similarly Ayesha Haroon((659/1000 marks), Naila Khan(657/1000 marks) and Anza Kanwal (655/1000 marks) stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.

In MA Urdu Maryam Nisar ((652/1000 marks) of Islamabad Model College for Girls F-7/4 got 1st, Adeeba Kanwal (640/1000 marks) stood 2nd and Asima Kanwal (616/1000 marks) stood 3rd. 

In Mass communication Haadia Zaman(817/1100 marks) of Margalla college stood 1st, Maria Raja(781/1100) stood 2nd and Huma Nawaz Abbasi(757/1100 marks) stood 3rd. In MSc Mathematics, Fizhat Bibi of Islamabad Model College for Girls F-6/2 grabbed 1st position by securing 1484/2000 marks, Sehrish Sana of Islamabad Model Postgraduate College forGirls stood 2nd  by securing 1423/2000 marks and Gulnaz Mehboob of Islamabad Model College for  Girls F-6/2 stood 3rd by securing 1406/2000 marks. In Bachelor of Science in computer science, all the three positions went to Islamabad Model College for Girls F-6/2.

Qurat Ul Ain (1617/2200 marks) got 1st, Fouzia Ambareen (1522/2200 marks) stood 2nd and Shumaila Nazir (1514/2200 marks) got 3rd position.

The Principal of Islamabad Model Postgraduate college of Commerce H-8/4 showed his immense happiness over the excellent results of his college.  He said that Commerce College received best distinctions among the other colleges.

The students of Commerce College qualified with excellent grades and the students acquired 3 positions and 27 1st divisions, the whole credit goes to the dedicated staff and the hardworking students, the principal said.
