LAHORE - The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) General Body (GB) members highly appreciated the efforts made by the Lahore City Cricket Association and also winning three national titles in a short span of time. President Islamabad Cricket Association (ICA) Shakil Shaikh was of the view that the present Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) office-bearers, since taking over charge of Lahore cricket in April last year, made all-out efforts to promote cricket in the region which resulted in capturing three national titles in short span of 10 months. Shaikh, who is also former member of the PCB Governing Board, expressed these views during a reception hosted by Secretary LCCA Mian Javed Ali in the honour of the PCB general body members here at Lahore Gymkhana Club. It may be recalled that Lahore emerged winners of National Twenty20 Championship, National One-day Tournament (Div-II) and National Under-19 Girls Championship. President Karachi City Cricket Association Sirajul Islam Bukhari and President Rawalpindi Region Major (retd) Naeem Akhtar had also words of praise for the successful efforts of Lahore City Cricket Association (LCCA) for promoting the game in such a short time. Mian Munir of Multan Region, Aamer Nawab of Abbottabad, Mr Wisal of Peshawar, Malik Zulfiqar of Sialkot, Ch Anwar of Faisalabad, Ashraf Qureshi of Rawalpindi, Masood Anwar of ZTBL and Khawaja Nadeem Ahmad (Lahore) were also present on the occasion. At the end, LCCA Secretary Mian Javed Ali thanked the general body members and assured them of Lahore's full co-operation in promotion of cricket in the country.
