LAHORE – One alleged dacoit was gunned down while another managed to flee from the crime scene on

Saturday, in what the Township police claimed an encounter with the outlaws.
Police sources said they were informed by Emergency Police 15 about a dacoity bid at a home in their locality.

After this information, a police patrol was directed to reach the home where the dacoits were present.
Following SP Saddar Division’s directives, the police party reached the scene. Seeing the police, the dacoits

opened indiscriminate fire at them. They retaliated in the same manger.
“During the crossfire, a dacoit, yet to be identified, was killed while his accomplice fled. He will soon be

arrested,” a police officer said. Later, the body of the dacoit was removed to the City morgue for autopsy.
