KARACHI  - Three judges of the Sindh High Court (SHC) took the oath as permanent judges on Saturday. The three judges are: Justice Mohammad Tasneem, Justice Syed Hassan Azhar Rizvi and Justice Mohammad Ali Mazhar. SHC Chief Justice Mushir Alam administered the oath at a ceremony, after which the number of permanent judges has increased to 10, while the approved strength of the court is 40.

Talking to reporters, SHC Chief Justice expressed the hope that another eight to ten judges would be appointed in the high court, adding that he had recommended several names but was certain that about ten judges would be appointed on regular basis.
