KARACHI - A watchman was shot dead here at Bismah Garden situated in Gulistan-e-Johar block 13 within the limits of Sharah Faisal Police on Saturday.
Reportedly, 35-year-old Sardar Mohammad, son of Roshan Ali, was on duty, when an armed motorcyclist opened fire on him, killing him on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for medico legal formalities.
According to police, the victim hailed from district Dir of Khyber Pakhtunkwa and personal enmity might be behind his killing as he came here just one week before. Later, the body was sent to his home town. No case was registered till filing of this report.
In another incident, a young man was targeted in Ittehad Town Baldia in the jurisdiction of Mochko Police. As per details, 26-year-old Shireen Gul, son of Bakht Gull, was the resident of Allahu Akbar Colony. Shireen was sitting near his house, when two armed men shot him dead on the spot. A police official said the victim was hailed from Kohat and came in the city just one month before.
He said the people of the area believed that the killed youth was involved in the murder of a man in Kohat. The victim’s uncle has showed his doubts on two persons namely Ajmair and Saeed, he added.
The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) and later handed over to his family.
