District police has sought cooperation from village lambardars to eradicate crime from the society.
Addressing a seminar held at Jinnah Hall here, DPO Syed Khurram Ali asked the lambardars to draw attention of police toward social evils, people having old enmity and for security on the eve of religious and cultural congregations.
He further said that it is duty of lambardars to point out persons having negative thinking, criminal elements, proclaimed offenders and extremists. He further said that they are also liable for convincing the community to expose such elements.
He said that they should have cordial relations with SHOs of their respective area. DCO Sajid Mehmood Chohan and Anwarul Haq Advocate also addressed the seminar and highlighted the legal duties of lambardars. DSP Muhammad Shoaib Zaman and in-charge Security Asif Sarwar and large number of lambardars were also present.
