BAHAWALPUR

A prize distribution ceremony was held to award prizes to the position holders of Textile Embroidery competition held at Craft Bazaar here the other day.

PML-N MPA Fouzia Ayub Qureshi was chief guest of the ceremony. A large number of female attended the ceremony which was arranged by the Punjab Small Industries Bahawalpur Region.

Addressing the participants, the MPA said that Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif had been doing a remarkable job for the welfare of every segment of society without any discrimination. She said that the Punjab government was providing a wide range of platform to the youth to achieve the goal of their bright future by their creative activities and abilities.

The MPA remarked that it was a good sign to see girls’ active participation in every field which was essential for national progress and the PML-N government was committed to provide maximum chances and facilities to empower the women. She said that the Punjab Youth Festival was quite encouraging for females as well. She appreciated the work of the participating females and said that women had the potential to perform excellently if given due chances.

Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Small industries Corporation Bahawalpur Region Regional Director Syed Sibtain Raza Gillani also appreciated the work of the participants.

30 females took part in the Embroidery competition which was won by Rashida Gul while Siraj Bibi got 2nd position and Mussarat remained 3rd. Later, the winner was awarded cash prizes.

Punjab Small Industries Bahawalpur DD Textile Tehmina Khalid, DO Enterprises Pervez Faheem Bokhari and PVTC Area Manager Muhammad Farasat Hussain were also present on the occasion.
