A decade worth waiting!

ISLAMABAD: Margalla Hills and Pir Sohawa on Thursday received light snowfall for two hours after ten years, an official of Meteorological Department of Pakistan told this agency.

A large number of people thronged Margalla Hills and Pir Sohawa to enjoy the snow after media reported that the city’s hill resorts received snow after 10 years. “A two inch white blanket has covered the picnic spot of

Pir Sohawa and surrounding hills which attracted the tourists,” the official said. Meanwhile, the demand of dry fruit and snacks has also witnessed an increase due to rain and cold wave in the twin cities.

“Visiting Margalla is always fascinating but it adds more to enthusiasm when snow falls,” a student Zeeshan at Pir Sohawa remarked.
