KARACHI - Anti-Car Lifting Cell (ACLC) inspector has surrendered himself over an alleged encounter in which four people were killed here in Ferozabad police limits. According to the report, four Chaman based businessmen arrived in Karachi to celebrate the New Year night. They were returning from shopping when ACLC police tried to intercept them and opened indiscriminate firing here in the limits of Ferozabad police station. Resultantly all the four men killed while police have called it an encounter and registered an FIR against the culprits. While police higher ups took the notice of police recklessness and ordered an inquiry. Resultantly another FIR 24/2009 was registered under section 319 (murder by mistake) on complaint of government while apex court had refused the FIR under such section and directed the authorities to registered an FIR under Section 302 on which police called the complainant to register an FIR. Finally, Haji Lal, father of deceased Zain-ul-Aabdin, arrived Karachi and lodged another FIR 32/2009 under Section 302-PPC. Police registered the case and shown the arrest of Zafar and declared four other absconders including Inspector ACLC Malik Irshad. Inspector Irshad however surrendered himself here in Ferozabad police station while two other police personnel including Noor Muhammad Shah and Zahoor were remained at large.
