ISLAMABAD (APP) - Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sherry Rehman said on Sunday that cultural heritage is the identity of any nation and Pakistan could promote its culture by preserving and promoting it. She expressed these views on the eve of calligraphic exhibitions here at Nomad Art Gallery and Saidpur Model Village. The Minister said it was imperative for the country to promote its cultural heritage as it was passing through a difficult time. "Pakistan has a rich cultural heritage and we can root out terrorism and extremism by promoting this heritage as art can be instrumental in eradicating terrorism and extremism," she added. The Minister said the Pakistan People's Party government was taking all possible steps to resolve the problems being faced by the people. She also visited different sections of the Saidpur Model Village. She also heard different problems of the people and gave orders to resolve those issues.
