PARACHINAR - Six people, including a bride, were killed and several others wounded when a vehicle hit a landmine near Pakistan-Afghanistan border early on Saturday.

Sources said a van carrying participants of a wedding struck a landmine in Danda Pathan area of Afghanistan bordering Kurram Agency. As a result, the bride and five other people were killed and many others were injured. The vehicle was badly destroyed. Afghan security forces cordoned off the area after the explosion and started investigation.

WALL COLLAPSE

Two real brothers died in wall collapse incident in suburbs of the provincial capital Peshawar on Saturday. Police said the dilapidated wall of a house located in Nothia area of Peshawar suddenly collapsed. Two real brothers were buried under the debris and sustained critical wounds.

The relatives and locals on self-help basis dug out the injured from the debris and shifted them to a hospital where both succumbed to their wounds during treatment.

The bodies were handed over to the heirs after medico-legal formalities.
