At least ten persons including two women were killed four others injured in different in different incidents of violence, enmity and mishaps over the past 48 hours.

According to details, in Jhang, a woman with the connivance of his paramour strangulated her husband. As per report, Tasleem Bibi, wife of Muhammad Nawaz, a resident of Chak 412/JB developed illicit relations with Muhammad Ramzan of the same village. They both planned to kill Nawaz and she mixed intoxicated pill in tea and gave to her husband. As soon as he consumed tea he fainted and she with the help of her paramour strangulated him to death. However, when the police on suspicion arrested both the accused, they confessed to have committed the crime. The Shorkot Cantt Police have registered a case against the couple.

In another incident, two unidentified assailants gunned down a woman in Ahmedpur Sial. Muhammad Inayat, a resident of Chak 63/L submitted an application to the Ahmedpur Sial Police stating that he and his wife Tasleem Bibi were asleep in their home when two unidentified culprits entered the home and opened indiscriminate firing, killing his wife on the spot. The police have registered a case and started investigation. Similarly, a young man was killed. Reportedly, Muhammad Munir, a resident of Rashidpur situated in the remit of 18-Hazari Police, was on the way on his bull-cart when suddenly he fell down and was crushed by his own bull-cart.

Meanwhile, in Sheikhupura, a trader was killed over monetary dispute in the remit Ferozewala Police.

As per detail, a factory owner namely Babar had borrowed money from his friend Ashfaq, a property dealer some time back. Meanwhile the deceased reached the factory to demand his money back where they exchanged hot words, prompting Babar shot Ashfaq dead. The police have registered a murder case.

In Hafizabad, four young men were killed on the spot when a car they were travelling in overturned after colliding with another vehicle while overtaking here near Dhaunkal on GT Road early Saturday morning.

According to police source, 30-year-old Taseer Ashraf and his 27-year-old brother Bilal Ashraf, resident of Garhi Awan Hafizabad along with their two friends - Hafiz Muhammad Ashraf and Sheikh Shiraz, residents of Lahore were on the way to Islamabad to attend a wedding. When they reached near Dhaunkal Village they attempted to overtake a vehicle as a result their car rammed into another vehicle and overturned, killing all the four instantly.

In Mandi Bahauddin, a woman was gunned down by her husband and brother. Reportedly, Iram Shahzadi, a resident of Chak 22 in limits of Malkwal Police was married off to her cousin Yasir and the couple had three children from the wedlock. About two years ago, she eloped with another villager but notables of the area brought her back. However, her brother Faisal and husband Yasir nurtured a grudge against Iram. The other day, her brother took her along on a motorcycle on the excuse of taking her to Kilyanpur to meet relatives. When they reached near Saman bridge near Raib village, her husband was already waiting there for them. Faisal stopped bike and both fired Iram and fled away. On hearing to gunshots, villagers in the vicinity rushed to the scene and took Iram in injured state to hospital but she breathed her last on the way. The police registered a case against the accused.

In Toba Tek Singh, a farmer killed his younger brother over property dispute in Chak 735/GB near Kamalia. Deceased Umer Draz and accused Arif quarrelled over the issue at which the accused hit the deceased with an iron rod on head as a result he was seriously wounded. He was shifted to Faisalabad Allied hospital where he died.
