Mobile emergency alert system

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority, in collaboration with Islamabad police and some mobile application developers has developed a ‘Mobile Emergency Alert’ for schools to ensure affective security to schools and hospitals in Islamabad. In this regard, a training session for police officers and technical sessions were held to finalise the details of the project. Through this project, the access of smart-phone application will be given to administrative staff, at different schools and hospitals, to get timely help from the police. Police will have direct control over the system and will ensure better use of the latest technology in managing such matters. It’s excellent news for a country like Pakistan, where terrorism is a menace. It is advisable that such mobile emergency alert system should be introduced in all cities to ensure the protection of schools and hospitals.
