People have been suffering great ordeal in getting cyber crime cases registered with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in Gujranwala.

FIA officials have no official power to register the cyber crime cases due to which the people have to go to FIA Lahore offices for the purpose after travelling long and wasting their precious time.

The of Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts urged the senior officials of the FIA to authorise the FIA Gujranwala to register such cases for providing relief to the local people at local level.

When contacted, Deputy Director FIA Gujranwala Division Khalid Anees said that they had brought the situation into the high-ups' notice and waiting for their response for starting registration of the cyber crime cases locally.

RESTAURANTS SEALED: The district administration has sealed four hotels and four sweets shops in Shakargarh city.

These hotels and sweets were sealed due to the poor sanitary and cleanliness situation found there during raids of the special teams.

They also found stale eatables there, as per Shakargarh Assistant Commissioner Nouman Farooq Tarar.

Meanwhile, Sargodha police have filed case against four nominated and five unknown lawyers on charges of aerial firing during the celebration of the victory of their candidates in District Bar Elections.

According to police sources, an FIR has been lodged at Cantonment Police Station against Shafqat Kalyar, Hafiz Ikramullah, Yasir Niazi, Khan Ali Shah and five unknown advocates who did aerial firing on bar election victory.

Police spokesman added that raids are being conducted for their arrest.
