The government has announced to grant a sum of Rs80 million for development projects like drainage system and provision of water in Mohallah Ghosia and Khurshidabad Kamalia.

A meeting was held at the residence of PML-N Youth Wing leader Amir Shahzad. Sardar Raheel was the chief guest. Speaking at the ceremony, he said that he was fully aware of the backwardness of the region. "We are trying to conduct development work in most of the backward areas. The amount of Rs80 million will be paid in three instalments. The first instalment will be Rs20 million in February," he said.

Amir Shahzad said in his speech the people of the area were grateful to the government and that the leadership of the for announcing the development of the region.

Meanwhile, Lodhran police said that for the elimination of increasing crime rate from the district, arrangements have been made for guarding the streets according to which on daily basis one team will guard the street. Each team will consist of 4 persons and one person will be armed with licensed weapon, DPO Asad Sarfraz Khan said.

All the station house officers have been issued with the directions to organise the guard system in each of their areas and also gather the information including cell phone numbers of the persons deployed as guards. The purpose of local guard duty is to provide protection to public especially in winter season when professional criminals become active.
