LAHORE - Haris Tahir of Punjab Monday clinched the inaugural edition of Jubilee Insurance National Junior U-18 Snooker Championship when he defeated Muzzamil Khan of Sindh 5-3 in the final at Champion’s Snooker Academy Lahore. According to Pakistan Billiards and Snooker Association (PBSA) spokesman, promising youngster Muzzamil fought hard before going down fighting 51-45, 76-06, 43-76, 72-05, 13-43, 37-71, 54-19, 58-20. By virtue of reaching the final, both Haris and Muzzamil earned the honour to represent Pakistan in the IBSF World U-19 Snooker to be held in Belgium later this year. Haris picked the glittering trophy, cash prize of Rs 50,000 and also got Rs 10,000 for registering the highest break of tournament (102). Runner-up Muzzamil earned Rs 25,000 in the week-long Rs 130,000 prize money event.
