Islamabad Safe City Project Deputy superintendent injured in firing incident

ISLAMABAD: The Deputy Superintendent of Islamabad Safe City Project has been injured in a firing incident, while resisting a robbery within the Sabzi Mandi police jurisdiction.

Adeb Ahmed, Deputy Superintendent of Islamabad Safe City Project, lodged a complaint with the local police that unknown robbers came on motorcycles waylaid him, held him hostage and made off with cash, cell phones and other valuables worth over Rs50,000.

Unknown robbers shot him in his leg while he resisted on giving his valuables, fled the scene leaving the person in injured condition on road.

He was rushed to local hospital and provided with medical treatment.

The police have registered a case and started investigation.
