TEVTA, TRG to train 2000 youngsters in call centre customer support

LAHORE (PR): Chairman Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (TEVTA) Irfan Qaiser Sheikh has said that TEVTA in collaboration with world’s leading support company TRG will provide Call Center Customer Support training to 2000 youth across the Punjab.

Chief Executive Officer TRG Nadeem Elahi had meeting with Chairman TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh here on Thursday at TEVTA Secretariat in this regard. While addressing the meeting, Irfan Qaiser Sheikh said that TEVTA started its pilot project of training of call centers along with TRG one year ago. Around 200 youngsters were trained as per the pilot project, he said, adding that those are doing job with TRG’s subsidiary Ibex at Rs 30 thousand per month.

Chairman TEVTA added, “TEVTA now plans to expand this project to train up to 2000 youngsters across the province”. By completing this training course, youngsters will be able to earn up to Rs 50 thousand per month, he said. CEO TRG Nadeem Elahi announced that among 2000 youngsters, TRG will immediately hire 1200 youth at Rs 30 thousand per month.

LAHORE (PR): Minhaj University Lahore Thursday hosted a strong protest against the brutal killing of the innocent Zainab at Kasur. The department of School of Business and Management Sciences registered their grievance and demanded justice by holding a symbolic peace walk to show their solidarity and seeking peace not only to the parents of the Zainab but for the whole Nation.

The protesting students along with the heads of all the departments, Vice Chancellor (Dr Muhammad Aslam Ghori), Registrar (Col(r) Muhammad Ahmed), Director Administration (Col (r) Mubashar), Director Academics (Khurram Shahzad), Secretary Seekers Student Club (Rana Tanveer Hussain) and Muhhamd Saleem (Lecture SEMS), demanded justice for Zainab.

 SMIU VC holds meeting with newly appointed faculty

KARACHI (PR): Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh, Vice Chancellor of Sindh Madressatul Islam University, has said that the SMIU will send its faculty members for PhD programs to its partner countries from the current year. Besides it, SMIU is starting faculty development programme also. He said this while addressing at the meeting held with newly appointed faculty members of various academic departments of the university, at Senate Hall of the university.

Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh said that SMIU offers all opportunities for elevation of faculty, but in response they have to perform their duties honesty and with dedication. The Vice Chancellor said that the SMIU is providing world class education to the students of lower class and has emerged as one of the best universities of the country.

“SMIU believes in merit system, this is why it has made all appointments on merit,” Dr Shaikh said and added that the teachers have a very significant role in shaping lives of young people through education. Hence, they have to understand their basic responsibility and perform accordingly. The meeting was attended by deans and heads of various departments of SMIU.
