ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has expressed resentment over not filing of Raja Zafar ul Haq Report in Faizabad Dharna case and directed defence secretary and Director General (DG) Intelligence Bureau (IB) to appear before it in person on next hearing.

Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui remarked “ Don’t compel the court. Otherwise, we can summon Prime Minister (PM).

A single bench of IHC presided over by Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui took up for hearing Faizabad Dharna case on Friday.

At the inception of the hearing of the case Deputy Attorney General (DAG) requested that the case is pending the hearing with Supreme Court (SC), therefore, this court should not hear the case.

The learned judge remarked “ case is running in SC with reference to Dharna. Raja Zafar ul Haq report has nothing to do with it. What report was given on controversial audio, If does not fall under the jurisdiction of IB then it should be got investigated by FIA."

The court expressing displeasure over the non filing of the report ordered that interior secretary, chief commissioner, IG Islamabad, defence secretary and DG IB should appear before it in person on next hearing of this case.

The hearing of the case was adjourned till February 9.
