Heated debate takes place in NA on Zainab's murder

A heated debate took place in the National Assembly today as the session began at the parliament house in Islamabad this morning.

Opposition Leader of the National Assembly Khursheed Shah strongly slammed the Punjab government for failing to prevent such incidents.

"Parents are worried for their children. The Parliament needs results now," he said. He also said that it’s time for the Parliament to play its role.

He further demanded that crime figures from all provinces be submitted in the Parliament.

The relevant minister will brief the House about the progress made so far to arrest the culprit.

The Minister for Parliamentary Affairs will lay before the house the reports on the use of Biometric Verification Machines and Electronic Voting Machines Pilot Project in recent by-elections.

Besides question hour, the agenda of the House includes passage of The COMSATS University Islamabad Bill, 2017 and the Federal Employees Benevolent Fund and Group Insurance (Amendment) Bill, 2017.
