LAHORE – Civil judge Ghulam Mustafa on Wednesday sought reply from Punjab chief minister’s son and MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif by July 17 on a petition filed by Aysha Ahad Malik seeking a ban on his plan to contract second marriage.

The petitioner, who claims to be wife of Hamza, had filed a suit in the civil court demanding action against him for not seeking her permission before marrying again. She had implored the court to bar Hamza from engaging in second marriage. The court on hearing the arguments directed the respondents to submit a reply in the court and adjourned the case proceedings until July 17.
