Prime Minister’s Advisor on Interior Rehman Malik on Thursday said that peace and stability in the world was linked with stability in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Addressing the participants of South Asian Strategic Stability Institute (SASSI) here, Rehman Malik said, “If there is stability in Pakistan and Afghanistan it will ensure durable peace and stability in the whole world.” The advisor said that the world must acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifices made by Pakistan in the war against terrorism. “Around 39,000 innocent citizens, army and police personnel have sacrificed their lives in the war against terrorism to ensure peace and stability in the region and entire world.”
