LAHORE - The Pakistan Awami Tehrik on Friday took out rallies across the country, expressing solidarity with Pak Army in the ongoing operation Zarb-e-Azb.
The rallies were participated by a large number of people from different walks of life including women and children. The participants were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogan in favour of Pak Army, ISI and operation Zarb-e-Azb.
In Lahore, the rally was led by PAT president Dr Raheeq Abbasi. Addressing the participants, he said that they had demanded operation against the terrorists when the government was deceiving the nation in the name of peace talks with TTP. He said those who were talking about negotiations with the terrorists at a time when the army was doing operation against them, was equal to spread anarchy.
He said such people were the enemies of the nation.
Meanwhile, the Sunni Ittehad Council also observed Friday as solidarity day with the armed forces. The clerics delivered sermons in favour of the army and passed resolutions.
