FO briefs Security Council's permanent members over Indian brutality in Kashmir

ISLAMABAD: Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhry today briefed five permanent members of UN Security Council in the Foreign Office about Indian extremism and brutality in Kashmir. Chaudhry briefed ambassadors from Britain, Russia, United States, Chinaand France.

The Foreign Secretary said that Pakistan is highly concerned over the atrocities Kashmiris are being subjected to. He urged the attendees to increase pressure on India to abide by United Nations resolutions pertaining to Kashmir.

Sources revealed that a conference of all Pakistani ambassadors has been summoned on instructions of the premier. The meeting will take into account the recent pertinent developments including arrest of Indian spy, Kulbhushan Jadhav, recent tensions at Pakistan-Afghanistan Torkham border and Kashmir policy.

Sources said that preparations for the conference have already begun in supervision of Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs, Tariq Fatemi.

Before the conference will conclude, ambassadors would be assigned dedicated tasks regarding foreign policy.
