LAHORE - A college boy was killed and three others sustained wounds in a brazen gun attack in Iqbal Town, police said on Wednesday.

The shooting started shortly after some boys clashed with each other when they were playing cricket in the street near Moon Market.

Initial police investigation revealed that a local man, Abdullah, opened fire on his opponents as they clashed. Resultantly, a college student died on the spot and three others wounded seriously. Police identified the deceased as 24-year-old Muneeb. The injured including Bilal Khawaja, Bilal Nawab, and Ali Chaudhry were shifted to Jinnah Hospital with bullet wounds.

The police reached the spot when the attackers had escaped. The body was moved to the morgue for autopsy.  The Iqbal Town police registered a murder case against the gunmen on the complaint of Tahir, father of the deceased and launched the investigation with no arrest made yet.
