ISLAMABAD (APP) - The government has allocated an amount of Rs.10458.821 million for various ongoing and new projects of Industries, Production and Special Initiatives Division under the PSDP 2008-09. According to PSDP documents released here on Wednesday, Rs.5955.321 million  have been earmarked for new projects and Rs.4503.500 million for ongoing ones. The government under PSDP has earmarked Rs.5000 million for Area Development and EPZ in Balochistan and Rs.2000 million for Clean Drinking Water for All. Rs.600 million have been allocated for expansion of network of Utility Stores Corporation, Rs.510.350 have been earmarked for Gujranwala Tools, Dies and Moulds Center and Rs.500 for Prime Minister's special initiative for village product specialization. In addition, Rs.219.780 have been allocated for clean drinking water initiatives, Rs.133.930 million for 2MDG Water Desalination Project Gwadar Balochistan and Rs.161 for Sialkot Business and Commerce Center (CBCC). Meanwhile, the government has allocated an amount of Rs.11114.959 million for various ongoing and new projects of Planning and Development Division under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2008- 09. According to PSDP documents released here on Wednesday, Rs.198 million foreign exchange component is also included in it. Rs.383 million have been earmarked for new projects and Rs.10731 million for ongoing ones. The government under PSDP has earmarked Rs.6410 million for UN-funded important projects, Rs.1500 million for Draught Recovery Assistance Programme (DRAP)/DERA-II and Rs.500 million for Public Private Partnership based Environment Friendly Public Transport System, Karachi. In addition to this, Rs.233 million have been allocated for National Trade Corridor Business Strategy and 245 million for National Trade Corridor Management Unit: Trade and Transport Facilitation Project-2. Meanwhile, the government has allocated an amount of Rs.12 million for Economic Affairs Division under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) 2008-09. According to PSDP documents released here on Wednesday, the amount would be utilized for institutional strengthening and efficiency enhancement of the Economic Affairs Division. Meanwhile, the government has allocated Rs. 123.83 million in Public Sector Development Programme 2008-09 for 11 ongoing schemes of Ministry of Labour and Manpower. According to PSDP document released here Wednesday, Rs. Three mln have been allocated for Establishment of Workers Education Centre in Gujranwala and Sialkot, Rs. 13.44 mln for Establishment of Policy Planning Cell in Islamabad, Rs. three mln for Visits of Expatriate Pakistani Consultant for short duration assignment in Pakistan, Rs. eight mln on Labour Market Information System and Analysis, Rs. 10 mln on Training of Trainers for Skill Development, Rs. 18.02 mln on Vocational Training Centre in Kashmore, Sindh. In the next fiscal year, the Ministry has been given Rs. 13.98 million on Computerization of Data of Outgoing Migrants and Returning Migrants in Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan and Karachi. , Quetta, Peshawar and Malakand and Rs. 32.01 mln on Construction of Technical Training Institute for Trade at Mandra. Rs. 4.98 mln will be spent on Green Man Certificate course on gardening, Rs. 7.4 mln on trade testing and certification, Rs. 10 mln on construction of hostel building for 100 persons in NTB complex, Islamabad.
