DHAKA - Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik has termed the record defeat against India as a bad day of the team. In a post match press conference, Malik said that the team batted and fielded badly. "The Indian started well and we floundered at the crucial time. Even they bowled well and we made mistakes," said Malik. He went on to praise the Indian team for their win and also praised Pakistan bowlers who he said later contained the score to 330, which he believed would have crossed 360. Malik was of the view that the wicket in Bangladesh match was difficult as compared to India match. He praised Indian batting and bowling and later praised the Pakistan bowling. He stated that they should have taken those catches and losing early wickets was another set back for the team. He said that against Bangladesh the ball was swinging in the evening so the decision of including extra pacer was taken. He said that there was the need of playing well with the new ball. It is the time when runs come by with easy because the ball bounces but when it gets older it don't come on to the bat properly, he added. He said that batsmen comes under pressure when chasing big totals and such a defeat in fact hurts a lot. He said that the Indian team was missing senior players and were boosted with juniors which is a good back up.
