ISLAMABAD - Islamabad City Police have arrested eight gangsters, including one proclaimed offender involved in kidnapping, dacoity, street crime, burglaries, illicit weapons and recovered stolen property amounting Rs 500,000, including gold ornaments and two pistols. According to details, SHO of Shalimar Police Station Ghulam Muhammad Baqir and SI Muhammad Javed arrested two accused namely Rukhsana Bibi and Muhammad Nasir and recovered gold ornaments, two mobile phones and artificial jewellery from them. The accused had snatched these items at knife-point from the ladies of H. No 560, St No 64, Sector G-11/2. The case FIR No 272 was registered at PS Shalimar under section 394/411 PPC, 17 haraba. Shalimar Police also arrested another accused Murtaza involved in burglary in E-11/4 and recovered stolen property worth Rs 120,000 for his possession. Meanwhile, Kohsar Police foiled an attempt of snatching mobile phone from Sikander in F-6/2 Sector and arrested the accused Malik Atif Abbas on the spot. The ACLC Police arrested one accused Zulfiqar alias Sikander and recovered 520 gram hashish from him. Shehzad Town Police arrested two accused namely Wajid and Masood and recovered two pistols 30 bore and 20 rounds from them. It has also arrested a proclaimed offender Saida Khan involved in kidnapping. The SSP, Cap (R) Ahmad Latif, has directed all SDPOs and SHOs to increase patrolling in the area and continue the on going drive against criminals.
