LAHORE The All-Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) took out a protest rally and staged a sit-in in favour of their demands outside the Punjab Assembly here on Friday. The protest was held against the statement of Ch Nisar Ali Khan, Opposition leader in National Assembly, wherein he opposed the 50 per cent increase in salaries of the employees. The charged protesters were carrying placards and banners inscribed with slogans against Ch Nisar. The APCA office-bearers claimed that such rallies were also being taken out from 36 APCA Headquarters across the Punjab. They asked PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif and Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to control such party leaders who opposed welfare programmes for the govt employees, otherwise more than 64 lac employees alongwith their families would come on roads and stage a protest against the PML-N.
