Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Naveed Ahsan tendered his resignation on the directives of the federal government, report said on Saturday. Sources confirmed that his resignation has been sent to the Prime Minister House. The government forced him to quit after he allegedly sent secret reports to the Supreme Court of Pakistan in Punjab Bank scandal case 'misusing his powers, sources said while elaborating possible motives behind his surrender. Additional Chairman NAB Jawed Zia Qazi will serve as Acting Chairman, if Ahsans resignation was accepted. Ahsan had earlier resigned in February 2010 but was asked by PM Yousuf Raza Gilani to continue till the appointment of his successor.
