QUETTA - Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry has declared that the recovery of missing persons was one of the priorities of judiciary which was making all out efforts for the immediate recovery of these persons so that they could re-join their families as soon as possible. The Chief Justice made these remarks while presiding two-day meeting of National Judicial Policy Making Committee here on Friday. Chief Justice Balochistan High Court Justice Qazi Faez Essa, Chief Justice Lahore High Court, Justice Khawaja Sharif, Chief Justice Sindh High Court Sarmad Jalal Usmani acting Chief Justice of Federal Shariat Court and Registrar of Supreme Court Dr Faqir Hussain also attended the meeting. Chief Justice Iftikhar Ch said that however the issues in Balochistan were complicated while the democratic government and administration were trying on their part in this regard and judiciary was at the same time was making possible efforts to ensure the provision of cheap justice to the people. He said that what the people reposed their confidence in judiciary, we would not dash their hopes or harm the confidence rather to come up to their expectations for ensuring the provision of cheap justice. He said that the recovery of missing persons was the one of judiciarys priorities because it was a very sensitive issue. He said that a judicial commission was constituted for recovery of missing persons and the commission had already started its work. He said that the judicial commission would make recommendations regarding recovery of missing persons and it would be ensured to implement its recommendations so that the missing persons could reach their homes as soon as possible. Earlier when the Chief Justice Iftikhar Ch arrived at Quetta Airport on two-day visit, he was received by CJ BHC and Inspector General of police Balochistan Mohammad Akbar Arian. Tight security arrangement was made on the occasion of his arrival at airport and in the city.
