LAHORE Sialkot and Lahore reached the final of the 1st PHF Inter Academies Hockey Tournament which was played here at the National Hockey Stadium on Friday. Sialkot outplayed Faisalabad by four goals to nil in the first semi-final while Lahore beat Karachi Academy No 2 by one goal to nil. In the first semi-final match, Secretary Sports Punjab Saeed Ahmad Nawaz was the chief guest while in the second semi-final, Vice President World Bank Abdul Islam was the chief guest. The final match between Sialkot and Lahore will be played on Saturday at 5pm. Federal Minister for Sports Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani will be the chief guest at the closing ceremony. Earlier, the third position match between Faisalabad and Karachi Academy No 2 will be played at 3pm. Results: Sialkot beat Faisalabad 4-0 (Full Time), 1-0 (2nd Half), 1-0 (1st Half). Sialkot: Owais Muzamil 8th Minute (FG), Ahsan Khaliq 45th Minute (PC), Nohez Malik 48th, 51st Minute (FG). Sialkot got six penalty corners while Faisalabad secured four penalty corners. Lahore beat Karachi Academy No 2 1-0 (Full Time), 1-0 (2nd Half), 0-0 (1st Half). Lahore: Owais Ur Rehman 38th Minute (FG). Lahore got three penalty corners.
