Tyson nursing hamstring injury

NEW YORK (AFP) Tyson Gay is nursing a tight hamstring and wont run in Saturdays Diamond League meeting here, the US sprinter confirmed on Thursday. The three-time world champion said he felt discomfort after setting the 200m record for a straight track in Manchester, England, on May 17. He said tests showed a disk out of alignment in his spine, and he believes that led to the problem. Gay had been slated to run in Saturdays meeting, which is the fifth in the 14-event elite Diamond League series. Jamaican Usain Bolt had already withdrawn from the meeting with an Achilles tendon ailment.
