Two US Influential Congressmen have assured that they would play their role in the congress for political stability in Pakistan and for civil military aid. According to Capitol Hill sources, Pakistan ambassador to US Hussain Haqqani met with two US influential congressmen Michael McCaul the member of the Homeland Security Intelligence Committee and Sylvester Reyes Chairman of House Armed Services Committee and Intelligence Committee and exchanged views on bilateral ties and Pakistan's role in fighting the war on terror. Sources said that McCaul and Reyes paid great tribute to the sacrifices made by Pakistan in the war against terror. Michael McCaul said that Pakistan as the front line ally had made enormous sacrifices and he is a great supporter of Pakistan partnership. He also lauded the role of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani for bringing democratic stability in the country and assured that he would play his role in the US congress for stability of Pakistan, flourishing of democracy and for Civil military aid to Pakistan. Congressman Reyes also assured Hussain Haqqani that Pakistan has given enormous sacrifices and now they would response to Pakistan sincerity. He said that he would assure US aid to other sectors like education, health and social welfare besides military aid.
