Water shares of provinces reduced upto 20,000 cusecs

The Indus Water System Authority (IRSA) has reduced water shares of provinces upto 20,000 cusecs. According to a private TV channel while quoting IRSA sources, the water share of Punjab reduced to 103,000 from 123,000 while water share of Sindh has been reduced to 121,000 from the water share of 130,000. According to sources, Sindh in written has protested to IRSA over cut in water share and suggested the use of Mangla Dam Reservoir to meet water needs of provinces at the time of cultivation as the water situation in the dam is getting better. Sources further told that water share to be decreased further, if the situation at the dams does not improve.
