Karachi- At least seven people lost their lives in various incidents of violence here Tuesday.

An Ahmadi community member was shot dead while his son and a companion were wounded in a targeted attack in Soldier Bazaar locality. The victims were identified as Hamid Sami, his 18-year-old son Osama and Salman Zaman. They were shot multiple times and were taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre where doctors pronounced Sami dead.

In another incident, an activist of the MQM-H, Noman Iqbal, was shot dead in Shah Faisal Colony. Police officials said unidentified armed assailants targeted Iqbal when he was on his way to home.

Separately, a youth identified as Bashir was shot dead in Sohrab Goth. Police said Bashir was shot dead by his companion, Zabi, who suspected him of being involved in his brother’s killing. Police claimed to have arrested the accused and initiated further investigation.

Separately, police found two bullet-riddled bodies from Lane 8, within the remits Baghdadi Police Station. Both the victims had gone missing some days back. Their bodies were shifted to hospital for autopsy where they were identified as Naveed alias Kangaroo and Noshad Baloch.  Boat Bassoon police found a body from a Sea View area. Police shifted the body to morgue for identification after autopsy.

In another incident, a man stabbed his wife to death in the limits of Mangopir Police Station. Police said Nazia was stabbed to death by her husband Jannat Gull over some family dispute. Gull managed to escape from the scene.
